Dezeen Awards 2026 celebrates Asia Pacific Regional Showcases
Dezeen Awards 2026, in partnership with Trimble, celebrated this year's newly launched Asia Pacific Regional Showcases at a party in Shanghai.
The party took place at furniture brand Vitra's showroom and was attended by leading architects and designers from across China.
The celebration was co-hosted by Dezeen's China team, led by China editor Christina Yao, and Aritco, represented by CEO Jonas Sjödahl.
Yao and Sjödahl were also joined by previous winning practices from the region, including Studio Link-Arc and Slow Coral Design, amongst other guests who gathered to learn about this year's programme and new initiatives.
This year, Dezeen Awards continues its global search for excellence in architecture, interiors, and design with the introduction of our Regional Showcases – three Top 50 lists that will celebrate the best projects in three regions: Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.
Alongside our 49 project awards, this new addition adds another chance for work to be celebrated and spotlights outstanding projects produced in key regions of the world.
Last year's Dezeen Awards saw a strong turnout from Asia Pacific, with 37 per cent of winners hailing from the region. Eight winners, including the overall interiors project of the year and design project of the year, came from Japan.
Four winning studios were from China, followed by Australia, Indonesia and Singapore, further evidence of the region's competitive showing.
