Kipu Club outdoor chair by Anderssen & Voll for Lapalma
Dezeen Showroom: Italian furnituremaker Lapalma has created an al fresco version of its Kipu Club chair, bringing Anderssen & Voll's design to the great outdoors.
The Kipu Club chair was originally introduced in 2024 as an update on Anderssen & Voll's popular pouf of the same name, enveloping its pebble-shaped base with a curved backrest.
"The pebble has become a nest," Lapalma said at the time.
Now, furniture maker has fortified the design against the elements, adding a base in marine plywood, UV-stable outdoor fabric and optional water-resistant covers.
"Growing means exactly this, reinventing a shape that already seemed perfect," Lapalma said.
The Kipu Club outdoor chair can be used on its own, in groups and paired with the matching pouf, which functions as both a seat and an impromptu side table.
