Four restful bedrooms where Dezeen Showroom products are found

Dezeen Showroom In Situ: the fifth edition of our In Situ series rounds up bedrooms from around the world where products published on Dezeen Showroom help create rooms fit for peaceful slumber.
The following examples of real-world bedrooms are made cosier and more design-forward by the presence of various pieces listed on our furniture platform.
From storage by Tylko and lighting by Ceramicah to rugs by Nanimarquina and tables by Miniforms, read on to learn about the pieces and why they were selected for use.

Original Modern Shelving by Tylko in an Amsterdam flat, the Netherlands
Polish furniture brand Tylko's Original Modern Shelving range encompasses bookcases, sideboards, TV stands, chests of drawers, vinyl storage, and shoe racks.
However, perhaps its most iconic form is expansive, wall-wide storage systems, one of which was installed in this bedroom in a residence in Amsterdam.
The flat's owner, Thomas Vermeer, selected a bubblegum pink colourway named Reisinger Pink, released in collaboration with Argentinian designer Andrés Reisinger. It is one of 11 available colourways.
The bright, playful hue ties in with the rest of the bedroom's colourful wall art, soft furnishings, and bright yellow bed frame.
"Pink is a colour I like to dream in!" Vermeer told Dezeen. "I needed a beautiful, functional solution to organise all my bedroom essentials from bed linen and socks to skincare."

Tera lamp by Ceramicah in Glenn Lawson's Home in Los Angeles, USA
This bedroom in Los Angeles – belonging to Glenn Lawson, co-founder of local homeware brand Lawson Fenning – features an eclectic mix of textures, patterns and shapes, including a bedside lamp characterised by rounded shapes and a striped base.
Named Tera, the lamp was designed and created by local design brand Ceramicah, who aimed for the chunky lights to have an earthy feel offset by solid brass hardware.
Users can choose between various finishes – including unglazed, glazed, lime plaster or raku – and four sizes ranging from mini to extra large.
"Our Striped Tera Lamp adds a graphic, yet organic element to this sun-filled Los Angeles bedroom," Ceramicah told Dezeen. "Its hand-painted stripes and curved form beautifully offset the geometric bedside table and angular art above it."

Talk Talk rugs by Jaime Hayon for Nanimarquina in Cadaqués summer house, Spain
Artist and designer Jaime Hayon collaborated with Spanish homeware brand Nanimarquina on a collection of face-shaped rugs, two of which feature in the children's bedroom of this holiday home in northeastern Spain belonging to the brand's CEO María Piera Marquina.
The pair of rugs – one in the colour Mustard and the other in Bluish Green – face one another in profile, appearing to engage in conversation.
Talk Talk rugs were selected by Marquina from her brand's own catalogue thanks to their animated and characterful appearance, which ties in well with the playroom-type atmosphere of children's bedrooms.
"This collection was used because it is so playful and speaks for itself," Nanimarquina told Dezeen. "Also, the rug in the colour Mustard matches the colour of the Funiculí lamps by Marset, which are found by the bunkbeds."

Soda coffee table by Yiannis Ghikas for Miniforms in Daddy Cool, Australia
The taller, smaller version of Italian furniture brand Miniforms' Soda coffee tables is used as a bedside table in this Sydney home's main bedroom.
Its transparency, a result of its glass materiality, allows it to glow when the light catches it and casts emerald-coloured shadows on the light timber floor.
Local practice Pattern Studio specified the table in its Petrol Green colourway, which picks out the colours in the bed's monolithic marble headboard.
It forms a small element of the house's wider eclectic interior design scheme, which is defined by textural pieces and pops of bright colour throughout.
