Promotion: according to soundproof booth manufacturer Framery, its pods and offices have "cracked the code" on enhancing office appeal, resulting in 400 employees freely returning to the office.

While not having a set workplace attendance policy in place, Framery explained that the majority of its staff are happy to travel to its headquarters in Tampere, Finland, which it says is due to having "the right tools" to support staff's work and wellbeing.

"We don't tell people when to come in, but the data shows they're choosing the office anyway," said the CEO of Framery, Samu Hällfors.

As part of its research into workplace wellbeing solutions, Framery worked with independent workplace researcher Leesman, who assessed employee satisfaction based on how supportive their office environments are.

Having conducted research at over 10,000 companies, Leesman categorised its findings into the Leesman Index, a global database of more than 1.5 million responses, with the average workforce ranking (Lmi) at 69.5 on the scale.

The firm also analysed working from home experiences and found the average home office scores 79.5 (H-Lmi).

Framery's headquarters scored 82.5 on the Leesman Index, placing it above the average workplace, as demonstrated by its staff attendance.

Framery uses its office as a "live laboratory" to test its new products, whilst also providing staff with access to soundproof pods and booths and smart solutions, which allow for a comfortable, creative and effective environment.

"We've learned that making the office worth the commute is really about removing friction," said Hällfors.

"When you give people the right tools, the office becomes somewhere they want to be, not somewhere they have to be. Now we just need to sort out the parking," he added.

According to Leesman's results, 96 per cent of Framery staff are satisfied with noise levels, compared to 66 per cent of global office workers, while 99 per cent are satisfied with booking planned meetings and 97 per cent are happy with room booking systems, using the brand's smart solutions.

Framery explained that communication is easy in its headquarters, with 99 per cent of employees saying it supports video calls effectively, compared to the Lmi average of 75 per cent, and 97 per cent of people feel comfortable having private conversations.

The office also breeds creativity, it explained, with 89 per cent of employees confirming the space supports creative thinking, and 90 per cent feel it enables productivity, compared to the global average of only 67 per cent.
