Victorinox and La Marzocco create multifunctional tool for baristas

Knife manufacturer Victorinox has teamed up with La Marzocco to release a specialised barista multitool, as shown in this video created for the brand by Dezeen.
Victorinox joined forces with the Italian espresso machine manufacturer to create a special edition item designed for coffee lovers.
The knife contains 15 different tools, including various blades, screwdrivers and tweezers.
The tools allow for 19 different functions to support the coffee-making process. This includes tightening the steam wand, measuring the grounds, and performing machine maintenance.
The tool is made using the brand's proprietary cellidor scales and is decorated with inlaid metal logos of both brands.

The item was designed with both professional baristas and home brewers in mind. It was also tailored to fit the specific needs of La Marzocco's espresso machines.
"This collaboration is a tribute to the art of coffee and the spirit of expertise," said chief marketing officer of Victorinox, Veronika Elsener. "Working with La Marzocco allowed us to merge two worlds, Swiss engineering and Italian coffee culture."
To celebrate the partnership, La Marzocco also created four exclusive espresso machines for Victorinox's use.
Victorinox has previously collaborated with brands like Off-White, the clothing brand created by the late designer Virgil Abloh, in addition to design influencers such as Abisola Omole and Steve Booker.
