Milo bed by Bolzan

Dezeen Showroom: Italian furniture brand Bolzan aimed to create a true bedroom centrepiece with the fully upholstered Milo bed.

Designed by Bolzan's in-house team, the Milo bed aims to be inviting and cocooning, with a wide fabric headboard that has movable wings on either side.

These allow for the angle to be adjusted to create a feeling that is either cosy and secluded or open and dramatic.

"This detail not only adds functionality — allowing a more dynamic use of the bed in moments of relaxation or reading — but gives the model a unique aesthetic, capable of adapting to different styles and needs," said Bolzan.

The Milo bed has a solid structure made of either Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified three-layer wood or black anodised aluminium. Coconut fibre padding and wool wadding provide a natural fill and help to minimise the use of plastics.

The bed is available in Bolzan's full range of fabrics, which include rich, multicoloured melanges and deeply textured boucle, helping to turn the bed into a standout piece that can hold its own in the centre of the bedroom.

The Milo bed fits a 180 by 200 centimetre mattress.
