Football kits for the USA, Mexico and Canada have been fully revealed for the 2026 World Cup, including US home jerseys emblazoned with bold red stripes and a green kit for Mexico that pays homage to Aztec sculpture.

The US and Canada have kits designed by American apparel company Nike, while Mexico's was designed by German company Adidas.

The host nations' kits feature motifs with images common to each, such as stripes for the US, Aztec symbology for Mexico, and a maple leaf for Canada.

For the US, Nike covered its home kit in "distorted stripes" that reference the flag in motion, according to the brand, to "symbolise a nation shaped by its diverse communities, landscapes and love for the game".

Its away kit is a dark grey, with small stars woven into the fabric.

Each of Nike's World Cup kits is made using the brand's Aero-FIT textile, a cooling knit that is made from 100 per cent textile waste.

Adidas took care of designing Mexico's kit, which reportedly went through a redesign after fans were displeased with the initial release of its home jersey.

This latest update features a forest-green base, with subtle imprints of the Piedra del Sol, one of the most well-known remaining Aztec sculptures, on its centre.

According to ESPN Mexico, Adidas authorised the use of the motif by working with the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, which houses the stone.

Mexico's away kit has a white base, with grey patterns that reference the "stepped exteriors often found on traditional Mexican buildings". Each jersey is inscribed with Somos México –  We Are Mexico – on the interior, and features a vintage Adidas trefoil logo to pay homage to the football culture of the 1990s.

For Canada, Nike created a red-hued home design "rooted firmly in the DNA of Canadian football", with a central Maple leaf, while the black away kit "represents the new face of Canadian football", according to the brand.

In contrast to the more sleek, subtle design of the home jersey, the "disruptive" away jersey features a "frozen maple leaf etched like a skate blade that reinforces Canada's winter‑sports heritage".

Major sports brands such as Nike, Adidas and Puma have designed the majority of the football kits for the 48 competing teams in the 2026 World Cup. The kits have rolled out, or leaked, during the past several months leading up to the World Cup in June and July, which will take place in cities across North America.

On 20 March, Adidas dropped the away kit jerseys for its 25 partner football federations, including Mexico, while on 23 March, Nike released its final swath of kits for countries such as France and Croatia.

As of now, 42 teams out of the total 48 teams set to participate in the World Cup 2026 have qualified.

Nike also unveiled its kit for England, while the 2026 World Cup ball was released by Adidas late last year.
