Arkemia tiles by Cristacer

Dezeen Showroom: paper pulp is transformed into a concrete-like flecked surface in the Arkemia porcelain stoneware tiles, made by Spanish brand Cristacer.
The Arkemia tiles start with paper pulp that is air dried and manually pressed, with the natural fragments and pigments in the mix making each tile unique.

The resulting tile has an appearance similar to concrete or stone, with a mineral character enlivened by subtle inclusions.
Arkemia is part of Cristacer's Tech Surface line of porcelain stoneware tiles.
The tiles are designed to offer high technical performance, delivering resistance, safety and ease of maintenance for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

According to Cristacer, they have a high slip resistance, making them suitable for areas like bathrooms and kitchens. The product also has a high stain resistance rating, and marks can be removed with minimal effort.
"With Arkemia, each space is transformed into a place where innovation, design and functionality coexist in perfect harmony," said Cristacer.
Cristacer is part of Tile of Spain, an association of over 100 tile manufacturers.
