Dezeen Showroom: designed by furniture brand NII's creative director Hirotaka Tako, this minimal stool's integrated casters allow it to glide around collaborative environments.
The Allround stool has a sculptural silhouette that aims to seamlessly integrate into communal spaces, providing functionality and aesthetic appeal with its gently rounded form and smooth, continuous surfaces.
"The name 'Allround' carries a double meaning: it refers to the full-round fillet – an engineering term for a curved surface applied to edges — and its character as an 'all-rounder' adaptable to diverse settings," said Tako.
The stool comes in a standard height version and a tall barstool version – the latter having a swivel top, no casters concealed within its base and an additional disc halfway down its central column that acts as a footrest.
The metal construction transcends trends and brings a pop of style to workplace interiors, while the disassemblable design allows for easy transport and storage.
"Allround's gentle minimalism, expressed through its circular form, blends harmoniously into spaces and architecture, offering value that endures for years," said Tako.
Both formats of stool can be ordered in either a brushed aluminium finish or in one of six vivid colours.
