Montréal is considered one of the top cities of Art Deco architecture as well as the industrial and financial center of Canada for the better half of the 20th century. Designed as clean geometric shapes with sharp lines, warehouses, mills and refineries found in downtown Montréal are still a reminiscent part of the city’s cultural heritage, with one notable example of Art Deco architecture being Ernest Cormier’s Université de Montréal.
