Promotion: sculptural lighting, finely crafted furniture and material-led objects are among the pieces set to be shown at Look Book during this year's International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City.

Presented in partnership with Dezeen, Look Book takes place from 17 to 19 May 2026.

Led by programme curator Julia Haney Montanez, the event spotlights independent North American designers working across diverse materials such as stone, ceramic, paper and wood.

ICFF explained that its 2026 show focuses on traditional craft techniques, material restraint and "a sharp architectural sensibility".

Spanning from organic to highly technical forms, here we've rounded up a handful of lighting designers who will showcase their works at the fair this May.

Trade visitors can register for a complimentary pass to ICFF using promo code DZN100 at the link here.

Aaron Pickering

Designer Aaron Pickering crafts furniture and sculptures influenced by the study of Shaker, Windsor and Scandinavian styles.

Pickering began crafting furniture while studying wood design at SUNY New Paltz in 2019 and was drawn to the material's tactility.

Central to his practice is a cold-moulding technique he learned while working for designer Martin Puryear, which enables him to create works with limited machinery.

Onibi

New York-based lighting practice Onibi approaches lighting design as "a system shaped by cultural, technical and perceptual conditions".

The studio develops lighting products with an emphasis on longevity and clarity.

During ICFF, it will debut Ramulus – a light that can be placed on the floor or work surfaces. It can be used for direct and indirect light via a "slender telescopic stem responsive to touch and movement".

The collection spotlights the studio's work with sandstone, using minimally modified elements to create sculptural lamps.
