Promotion: a handful of North American designers and studios are set to debut their latest products during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City this May.
New launches in lighting, furniture and objects will be presented at Look Book during this year's International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF).

ICFF will also present a wide range of contemporary design approaches, spotlighting diverse North American designers with "strong visual identities".

Presented in partnership with Dezeen, Look Book runs from 17 to 19 May 2026 and is led by programme curator Julia Haney Montanez.

During NYCxDESIGN, ICFF and AvroKO present Form and Feeling, an exhibition at Host on Howard from 15 to 19 May.

Co-curated by Montanez, the exhibition will spotlight a group of North American design studios and explore how natural materials can "take on unexpected shapes". Participating design studios include Cuff Studio, Crafted Glory, Brett Paulin, Ian Love, Kate Dannessa, ridezign, Coil + Drift, Vy Voi, Thomas Yang and Simon Johns.

Trade visitors can register for a complimentary pass to ICFF using promo code DZN100 at the link here.

Read on to see ten exhibitors debuting new works at the fair this May.

Kalon

Los Angeles-based design studio Kalon was founded in 2007 by designers Michaele Simmering and Johannes Pauwen. The practice crafts furniture using natural materials, drawing on American traditions and modernist principles.

The studio works with independent teams of skilled craftspeople to produce pieces designed for longevity. Kalon can be found in the Leibal booth.

Sun Set

Launched by designer Kristen Wentrcek, Sun Set will make its debut at ICFF 2026 with the 500 Series, an outdoor furniture collection informed by the retro-futurism of mid-century Italian fibreglass design.

Wentrcek's products are created with closed-mould fibreglass construction, marine-grade gel coat finishes and quick-dry upholstered cushions.

Cuff Studio

Cuff Studio returns to Look Book at ICFF with an immersive booth to debut Petal Promenade, its latest collection of lighting, furniture and objects.

Featuring vibrant patterns, the collection nods to the classicism of 20th-century decorative arts and "vibrancy of New York living".

Karen Gayle Tinney

Fibrous textiles extend beyond ceramics in artist and designer Karen Gayle Tinney's work, exploring the interplay between different materials.

Each piece is made by hand in her Vermont studio, where she established her practice in 2016.

Samuel Aguirre

Artist and furniture maker Samuel Aguirre creates bold furnishings with natural textiles. His experimental practice draws on traditional papermaking materials and processes to develop pieces organic in structure and texture.

Aguirre's work has been exhibited at the Museo Nacional de Antropología, the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking, the New Britain Museum of American Art and the RISD Museum.

Crafted Glory

Crafted Glory is the studio of Kwadwo Som-Pimpong, a Ghanaian-American engineer, furniture maker and sculptor based in western North Carolina.

Som-Pimpong uses hand-carving techniques, and his Ati Collection draws on West African visual language to create contemporary pieces grounded in cultural memory.

Ian Love

Sculptor and furniture designer Ian Love's work merges functional design with collectable art.

Love hand-carves reclaimed and locally sourced wood, which intends to honour the material's heritage. His latest collection introduces hand-painted wood elements into his tables, adding a "new layer" to his practice.

ICFF 2026 takes place from 17 to 19 May 2026 at the Javits Center, 429 11th Avenue, New York City, New York 10001, USA. See Dezeen Events Guide for more architecture and design events around the world.

Trashy

Laura Olson, founder of North Carolina-based studio Trashy, creates furniture and objects from discarded waste.

Using a proprietary concrete blend made from recycled materials, including glass aggregates and styrofoam, the studio aims to challenge "conventional ideas of stone".

Kiara Matos

Design studio Kiara Matos Studio produces clay works that are "rooted in the potter's wheel".

Its Flora collection is named after the Roman goddess of flowers, spring and abundance, and sees hand-thrown floral forms sculpted across mirrors, lamps, wall pieces and decorative objects.

Lirio Design House

Lirio Design House's Monolith series explores how furniture can hold "both presence and responsibility". The collection is crafted from natural materials, including hempcrete and lime plaster.

Each piece "responds to the permanent issue of waste" and is designed for long-term use.

Other designers joining Look Book include Beginner Ceramics, Dry Dock Studio, Hachi Collections, Michael Javidi, Mary Ratcliffe Studio, Ora.House, and The Moore Mirror by La French Goose.

ICFF 2026 takes place from 17 to 19 May 2026 at the Javits Center, 429 11th Avenue, New York City, New York 10001, USA. See Dezeen Events Guide for more architecture and design events around the world.
