Roca lists three of its collections on Dezeen Showroom

Dezeen Showroom: Spanish bathroom brand Roca has advertised a selection of its latest bathtubs, basins and sanitaryware on Dezeen Showroom.

The Tura Oval bath is part of a collection that is informed by architecture. It features a stepped profile that is based on the appearance of cantilevers and intends to give the impression that the tub is floating above the floor.

On the inside of the tub, this shape is mirrored by a recessed inner lip around the inside of the rim, which supports a removable wooden shelf for holding bathing products or refreshments.

The elegantly curved and double-ended design is built to support comfortable reclining and can be enhanced with a headrest accessory made of quick-dry fabric.

The Ohtake collection has recently been expanded with two new basins and a bathtub, all featuring sculptural waved rims based on natural forms, with ultra-thin edges on the basins enabled by Roca's Fineceramic material.

The new products are the work of Brazilian architect and designer Rodrigo Ohtake, who is continuing the legacy of his late father, architect Ruy Ohtake, by building on his original collection and sensual design language.

Mediterranean architecture is the guiding light for the Meridian collection, which incorporates basins, bidets, toilets and bathroom furniture and is characterised by arches, asymmetry and soft geometry.

Among the standout pieces are the basins, made of Fineceramic. Incorporating subtle curves that reference the movement of water, they are connected to floor standing or wall-hung steel-framed cabinets for a unified look.

The Roca brand carries more than 100 years of expertise, having been founded in 1917 in Barcelona as a manufacturer of cast iron radiators before expanding into the bathroom sector by the end of the following decade.

Today, the company is still fully Spanish-owned and has a presence in more than 170 countries through its commercial network.
