Outline chair by Formiing

Dezeen Showroom: Hong Kong-based design brand Formiing aimed to combine timeless design with everyday comfort in the stainless steel-framed Outline chair.

Designed by Formiing's co-founder and creative director Jinglan Fan, the Outline chair is made to facilitate long periods of sitting while capturing attention with its original design.

The chair features a distinctive tubular stainless steel frame, which flows and curves into a minimalist structure that brings a sense of lightness with its presence.

This is accompanied by a generous upholstered seat and backrest, allowing the chair to support hours of sitting around a dining table.

"The Outline Chair is a sculptural blend of art and function — a statement piece that elevates any interior with its bold, yet refined presence," said Formiing.

"The open and flowing design brings an architectural sensibility to the space without overwhelming it."

The Outline chair is available in a range of cotton and wool upholstery fabrics by Danish brand Kvadrat, including both neutral and bright colours.
