Dezeen Showroom: fine wood craftsmanship is celebrated in the Nest bed, created by Italian furniture brand Bolzan to help turn bedrooms into design-forward retreats.
Designed in-house by Bolzan Lab, the Nest bed aims to balance strength and lightness, with an ash wood structure honed down to slender, delicately curving panels.
The headboard is wide and rounded in shape, creating a soft and inviting aesthetic, while the modern, low platform base features upturned, lipped edges, adding to the embracing feeling.
Attention to detail shines in the meticulously rounded edges and smooth finishes, making the bed into an understated statement of artisanal craft in a world of mass production.
The Nest bed is available in a range of natural paint finishes and can be customised with the addition of two cushions for added comfort.
The bed fits a 180-by-200-centimetre mattress.
