This week we revealed exclusive photos of Frank Gehry's last major project

This week on Dezeen, we revealed photos of Frank Gehry's last major building, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, following the architect's death at the age of 96.
In a roundup, Dezeen editor Tom Ravenscroft chose Gehry's 15 most significant buildings, exemplifying the architect's "almost-unbelievable architectural legacy".

Three North American supertall skyscrapers made the news. In Toronto, Canada, the SkyTower by Hariri Pontarini Architects became the first building in Canada to surpass 100 storeys, making it the country's tallest.
In Miami, USA, the city's first supertall skyscraper reached the halfway mark in its ongoing construction. Once complete, it will rise a total of 100 storeys, making it the tallest tower in the state of Florida.
In Texas, USA, the supertall Waterline skyscraper by US studio KPF was photographed nearing completion. It has topped out at its full height of 1,025 feet (312 meters).

In an exclusive interview with Dezeen, architect Sou Fujimoto revealed that most of the structure of his Grand Ring – the world's largest wooden structure that was designed to encircle the Expo 2025 Osaka – will be burned as firewood.
The Grand Ring was designed to be dismantled, and demolition of the structure has now begun. While 200 metres will be kept, Fujimoto lamented that "70 per cent, at least as far as I've heard, they will just demolish and then make it chips for the fuel".

A stone-clad home in Scotland's Outer Hebrides has been named the UK's best new house by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The home by local practice Izat Arundell was designed to blend in with the landscape and its exterior is covered in blocks of local Lewisian Gneiss stone.

We continued our review of the year by looking at subjects including the top home extensions of 2025, the biggest building announcements of 2025 and the best interiors of the year, as chosen by the Dezeen team.
Other roundups explored the top Indian architecture projects of the year, 2025's must-read interviews and the year's most unexpected brand collaborations.

Swedish furniture company IKEA launched a children's furniture and decor collection at a Miami art week installation. The Grejsimojs children's collection comprised 33 objects designed by creatives such as Carl Ojertsam and Marta Krupińska.
Following the end of Miami art week, we also explored ten design-oriented installations from the week.

Popular projects this week included a leaf-shaped home in the Cotswolds, a house made up of six concrete pavilions and a kindergarten designed as a "small village".
