Dezeen Showroom: in the wake of this year's Stockholm Furniture Fair, we've rounded up eight products listed on Dezeen Showroom by design brands based in the Nordics.

The following selection includes pieces developed by Norwegian furniture brand Varier, Finnish design brand Nikari and Swedish lighting brand Blond.

Ranging from seating and lighting to tables and acoustic solutions, this array of products is united by their Nordic origins.

Also featured below is an acoustic wall panel with patterns reminiscent of sand dunes and a table with a top made out of recycled plastic from discarded fishing nets and takeaway food packaging.

Stockholm Furniture Fair took place from 4 to 8 February 2025 at various locations across Stockholm as part of the city's broader Design Week.

Ekstrem chair by Terje Ekstrøm for Varier

Six new colourways are now available for Norwegian furniture brand Varier's distinctive Ekstrem chair.

As well as previously-released Black and Sulphur, the chair's custom-made knit fabric now comes in Blossom, Scarlet, Umber, Sand, Olive and Pool.

Dune acoustic panel collection by Arturel

Danish company Arturel collaborated with textile brand Kvadrat on a series of functional yet decorative wall panels made from a material comprised of recycled textiles.

The Dune acoustic panel is named for its sand dune-like pattern and helps to enhance acoustics in interiors thanks to its sound-absorbing materiality.

Liv tables by Interesting Times Gang x Ingridsdotter

A mottled beige top and dappled blue top, made from recycled takeaway packaging and fishing nets, characterise a duo of new iterations of designer Jonas Bohlin's 1997 Liv table.

The two new Liv table variations were developed by Swedish studio Interesting Times Gang in collaboration with design brand Ingridsdotter.

Hikari pendant lamp by White Arkitekter for Zilenzio

Swedish studio White Arkitekter and acoustic solutions brand Zilenzio have launched Hikari, a pendant lamp with a disc-shaped shade that absorbs sound.

The padding of the octagonal shade is segmented with a lighting fixture in the middle. The fittings can also be specified without a lighting element for purely acoustic use.

Faneeri folding chair by Jonas Forsman for Nikari

Finnish brand Nikari and designer Jonas Forsman aimed for the Faneeri folding chair to look elegant both when in use and when folded up.

Characterised by its slimline forms and natural wood finish, the brand envisages the chair to be used in both small residential spaces as well as larger contract interiors.

Sahara Wall Panel by Gabriel Tan for Abstracta

Swedish brand Abstracta and designer Gabriel Tan have developed an acoustic panel that is characterised by a C-shaped ridge running across its surface.

The Sahara Wall Panel can be used alone or combined with others in various rotations to form a landscape-like installation that adds visual interest and removes excess sound.

Swedish furniture brand Fogia collaborated with designer Andreas Engesvik on the Pico lounge chair, which combines a compact, lightweight frame with thickly padded seat and back cushions.

The chair is designed to be durable and timeless as well as provide a pleasant sitting experience, with the designer and brand envisaging it to be used for years to come.

Catena modular lighting by Form Us With Love for Blond

A modular lighting system based on uniform glowing tubes makes up Catena modular lighting by Swedish design studio Form Us With Love and lighting brand Blond.

Wall-mounted, standing and ceiling-hung aluminium bases and frames – available in brushed, black, white and red as standard – support the lit tubes, which can also be shielded within cylindrical mesh shades.
