Talavera by Mariana Peña, Naomi Acosta and Paulina Perkins

"Talavera is a pavilion designed by architecture students for the 2025 Venice Biennale. Inspired by the word Anáhuac 'between the waters' it reflects Mexico's relationship with water and tradition through blue Talavera pottery.

"A modular wooden frame supports hand-painted ceramic tiles in blue-and-white patterns, forming a grid that balances density and openness.

"This demountable structure reinterprets vernacular craftsmanship through a contemporary lens, becoming a mobile cultural artefact."

Yumly by Valeria Anguiano Jiménez

"Developed within the multimedia design programme, Yumly is a mobile application created to simplify meal prep through intelligent recipe suggestions based on available ingredients.

"The project reflects the programme's core pillars: strategic design, sustainability through food waste reduction and social impact by democratising digital tools and innovation in UX/UI development.

"By merging creativity and technology, Yumly exemplifies the kind of human-centred design our students produce.

"It was developed under real-world conditions, echoing our commitment to creating functional and transformative digital experiences. Yumly is more than an app – it's a reflection of design with purpose."

Metamorfosis en capas (Layered Metamorphosis) by Luis Alejandro Fernández Ruiz

"Reality reveals itself in layers is the premise behind developing this editorial piece is. In a world oversaturated with digital content, we need to reconnect through the tangible.

"The main goal is to create a printed, sensory and meaningful object. Layered Metamorphosis is a foldable fanzine that transforms into a poster when fully opened.

"Designed within the typographic composition course, this publication is a visual and emotional journey into self-awareness, identity, presence and personal transformation.

"This piece is not just meant to be read – it is meant to be explored, felt and discovered. Each layer reveals a message, just like identity itself."

Raíces Tejidas by Ana Sofía Fernández, Carlos Cacho, Irune Rugarcía and Naiara Alcalá

"Raíces Tejidas (Woven Roots) is a pavilion created for the 2025 Venice Biennale, designed in response to the theme 'intelligence, natural, artificial, collective'.

"Inspired by traditional Mexican looms, it features a lightweight structure of frames and tensioned threads that generate a sensorial, interactive experience.

"Two facades are densely woven, while the others allow passage through hanging threads, evoking tension between enclosure and openness.

"The feeling of being caught in the weave becomes a metaphor for how we inhabit the present, connected to the past. The pavilion explores body, space and culture, weaving history and innovation into a contemplative, participatory space."

Tejidos del Viento by Ángel Rodríguez, Monserrat Cosme, Valeria Medina and Ximena Merino

"Tejidos del Viento (Fabrics of the Wind) is a pavilion designed for the 2025 Venice Biennale of Architecture.

"Inspired by traditional Mexican palm weaving, it merges light structure, movement and artisanal materiality to explore links between architecture, nature and heritage.

"A timber frame of local ayacahuite wood supports hemp fabric panels stretched over 3D-printed joints – blending craft and digital design.

"Responding to wind and light, it casts shifting shadows and enables passive ventilation. A living system, it weaves tradition with transformation in a space of sensory experience."

Group Project: At The Table

"Since 2019, EASD Valencia (Spain) and Universidad Anáhuac Puebla (Mexico) have built a collaborative bridge focused on internationalisation, regional production (artisanal and industrial), digital fabrication and sustainability.

"This alliance is enriched by professionals from the design and artisanal industries. From this synergy emerges At The Table, a collection that revalues objects designed to briefly interact with a table, whether by function or aesthetics.

"These pieces belong to a diverse, multicultural home, shaped by memories, traditions and cultures. The collection proposes a timeless reflection on making, living and rethinking the art of the table."
