HÅG Capisco task chair by Peter Opsvik for Flokk
Dezeen Showroom: Flokk has reissued a task chair created in 1984 by industrial designer Peter Opsvik, which is based on the upright posture of horse riders.
The HÅG Capisco task chair comprises a saddle-like seat and a cruciform backrest.
The chair has both enhanced ergonomic properties and a distinctive appearance, which deviates from regular office chairs.
Flokk describes the chair as having "a futuristic aesthetic that has transcended time", reinforced by being featured on the sets of multiple TV shows set in the future, including Star Trek and The Expanse, as well as Hugo Boss's Futuristic Milan Fashion Show Techtopia.
"In the Instagram age, where uniqueness is prized, and attention spans are short, the Capisco's eye-catching appearance makes it stand out amidst a sea of sameness," said Flokk.
The chair features HÅG inBalance flowing tilt functionality, which allows the user to adjust the backwards tilt tension, seat height, seat depth, back height and seat locking.
It is suitable for all working surfaces that are 72 centimetres or higher, and comes in various finishes for the base upholstery options for the seat.
