Following a construction update on Canada's tallest skyscraper, we've rounded up other skyscrapers in progress in Toronto, designed by architecture studios such as Frank Gehry, Studio Gang and Foster + Partners.
Toronto has seen a boom in development in recent years, with many of the city's first supertall skyscrapers now under construction.
According to a recent report, Toronto and New York City are the only North American cities that have an increased crane count in the first quarter of 2025, indicating a flurry of construction.
Many of these skyscrapers are part of "super site" projects with multiple structures, such as the Pinnacle One Yonge development designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, and the proposed Orca development by Safdie Architects.
Elsewhere in the city, "super site" projects are being carried out to develop large swathes of land on the perimeter of the urban core, such as the redevelopment of Downsview airport.
Read on for eight projects set to change the Toronto skyline.

Currently under construction, the Forma project contains an 84-storey skyscraper that will be architect Frank Gehry's "tallest residential tower," according to developer Great Gulf.
Located in the city's Entertainment District along King Street West, the project contains two residential towers, which will be clad in rippled steel panels designed to create a "dancing" effect when reflecting light.

One Bloor West, by Foster + Partners and Core Architects
Located in Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood, the One Bloor West skyscraper, formerly known as The One, is set to rise 85 storeys and 308.6 metres (1,012 feet) if completed.
At the time of its groundbreaking in 2017, the tower was projected to be Canada's tallest building, but the title has since been nabbed by the 351.85-metre SkyTower designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, which is also under construction.

SkyTower, by Hariri Pontarini Architects
At a recently approved extension of 106 storeys and 351.85 metres, SkyTower will be Canada's tallest supertall skyscraper if completed, following regulations that it can not extend past Canada's tallest structure, the nearby CN Tower.
As of early 2025, construction has reached its 71st floor, with concrete structure poured and some cladding wrapped around its bottom floors.

The 155-metre (509-foot) One Delisle skyscraper, designed by Studio Gang, is currently under construction in the city's Deer Park neighbourhood and will contain residential and commercial programming.
As of Spring 2025, cladding has been being installed on its scaled facade. The stacked volumes were designed to filter light down to street level and create a series of terraces for residents, according to Studio Gang.

90 and 150 Eglinton Avenue, by Rafael Viñoly Architects
Stretched across three blocks in Midtown Toronto along Eglinton Avenue, a series of burnt-red towers will be Rafael Viñoly Architects' first Canadian project and one of the last to be designed by the studio's late founder, Rafael Viñoly.
Designs were released last year, and the project is in pre-construction.

645 and 648 Yonge, by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture
Currently in pre-construction, 645 and 648 Yonge are two proposed skyscrapers for Toronto's downtown area. Both skyscrapers are shown rising from or next to brick heritage buildings that populate the neighbourhood.
Upon the release of its designs in 2023, architect Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture said the design would "maintain heritage facades to keep neighborhood character".

A giant, nine-building development called the Rail Deck or Orca has been proposed to cover a portion of Toronto's rail corridor, not far from a sprawling residential complex by BIG.
Safdie Architects released designs for the project in 2021 and lists the project as "in design", but other architecture firms, such as Sweeny &Co Architects, are now attached according to Urban Toronto.

King Toronto Residences, by BIG
Currently under construction with possible residential move-ins slated for summer 2026, the sprawling King Toronto Residences span along King Street West.
Designed by BIG and executive architect Diamond Schmitt Architects, the complex wraps around several historic buildings that front the block and will be clad in glass brick.
