Promotion: ceramics manufacturer Fiandre has unveiled its latest collection of tiled surfaces, which it describes as "an architectural language built around eight carefully selected materials".

Named Lexicon, the collection introduces eight carefully curated materials to the Fiandre range, and is complemented by a trio of high-quality finishes.

Fiandre's latest collection brings together a range of formats and colours that can be used across indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Fiandre has unveiled its Lexicon collection

"Lexicon is not a conventional collection: it is a vocabulary of surfaces, an architectural language built around eight carefully selected materials," the company said. "It is an open system in which matter becomes meaning, a vocabulary for those who shape space and identity through design."

"Every surface can live on its own or in dialogue with the others, helping to build lasting, recognisable architectural identities," it added.

The new collection comprises two families of materials, named Expressive and Structural, that come together as "different yet converging souls".

"Together they offer a language used by designers to build a coherent syntax made of calibrated contrasts or fluid continuity," Fiandre said.

The Expressive family includes a collection of textured indoor and outdoor tiles. Its four colours include Arabescato Grigio, which features a vibrant pattern, and Breccia Blu, defined by a blue background crossed by paler fragments.

Other renders include the highly-textured Ceppo Aragona and Breccia Phoenix, detailed by warm grey and white elements.

"The Expressive family brings emotion and atmosphere, turning the space into a narration with rich textures and balanced colours, perfect for indoor use but ready to suggest new possibilities outdoors too," Fiandre added.

The Structural material family comprises a selection of architectural surfaces designed by Fiandre to "blend naturally into design languages".

It is made up of four colours, including White Aura, which has a marbled texture, and Havana Burlington, which draws on grey limestone. Alongside this, Roche Bleue brings a deep grey with blue shading, while Pietra di Fez offers beige tones with light shadows.

"They [the tiles] have no desire to steal the scene, but, silent and authoritative, they create the visual structure of the space," Fiandre said.

A range of sizes and formats brings versatility to the collection

The Lexicon collection is completed with three finishes – Natural, Natural Plus and Antislip – designed to complement the "personality" of each surface and assure high-quality performance on indoor and outdoor surfaces.

This is complemented by a selection of slab formats and sizes, which range from traditional to specific thicknesses for outdoor use and bring versatility to the collection.

"The range of formats is designed to offer huge design potential," the company said.
