Dezeen Showroom: US brand Designtex worked with Maine-based artist Joe Kievitt to create Betwixt, a linear fabric that "reveals the beauty found between the lines".

Betwixt's patterning is based on motifs found in the artwork of carpenter and designer Joe Kievitt, whose portfolio includes mosaics, murals, and large-scale abstract works on paper.

Thin, speckled lines run horizontally across the fabric's surface

Users can choose from 16 colours, each comprising various tonal bands of a single colour to create a cohesive aesthetic across walls.

"Betwixt non-vinyl wall covering reveals the beauty found between the lines," said Designtex.

According to Designtex, the material has low VOC certification and is digitally printed on DNA non-vinyl wall covering, which contains 50 per cent biobased cellulose.
