Captured in a series of photos by Gurpreet Chawla, the installations included massive pyramids, slides and a temple resembling a giant, fragmented stone.
We revealed the longlists for this year's Dezeen Awards this week, with 262 buildings longlisted in the architecture categories, including The Seaside Pavilion on a Chinese island by GN Architects (pictured).
We also unveiled the 192 projects longlisted in the design categories, including projects by Foster + Partners, Kvadrat and Pentagram, as well as the 189 longlisted interiors, including designs by Holloway Li, Keiji Ashizawa Design and Linehouse.
In design news, Swedish designer Gustaf Westman unveiled a festive tableware collection for IKEA.

In the USA, technology brand Apple has unveiled the first iPhone Air, which was described as "impossibly thin" by the brand. At 5.6 millimetres thick, it is the thinnest iPhone ever made by the company.
Along with the iPhone Air, we rounded up the top innovations from Apple's keynote event, which include AirPods with live translation, high blood pressure alerts on the Apple Watch and landscape selfies.
Cars were also on the agenda this week, with a host of new releases and concept vehicles being unveiled at the IAA Mobility 2025 motor show in Munich.
These included a minimalist concept car by Audi and a compact EV designed specifically for driving in European cities by Hyundai. At the launch of this car, Hyundai's design boss told Dezeen that we are "due a renaissance" in cool small cars.
Popular projects this week include Anish Kapoor's long-awaited underground station in Naples, an "elegant and refined" overhaul of a Notting Hill home and an art deco-informed Manhattan restaurant by Rockwell Group.
Our latest roundups include homes designed around growing food and modern mosques that offer a contemporary take on Islamic architecture.
