Lexicon tile collection by Fiandre
Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Fiandre Architectural Surfaces aimed to create a "vocabulary of surfaces" with the Lexicon tile collection, featuring eight high-tech stone- and marble-inspired designs.
Both atmospheric, texturally rich styles and restrained minimal designs feature in the Lexicon ceramic range, which is available in a range of formats including an extra-large slab.
"Lexicon is not a conventional collection: it is a vocabulary of surfaces, an architectural language built around eight carefully selected materials organised into two complementary families," said Fiandre Architectural Surfaces.
"Every surface can live on its own or dialogue with the others, helping to build lasting, recognisable architectural identities."
Lexicon's two families are known as Expressive and Structural. The Expressive family platforms intense and emotive styles, such as the densely patterned Ceppo Aragona and Breccia Blu.
The Structural family, meanwhile, features subtle textures in styles such as White Aura or Roche Bleue, intended to serve as a strong but silent anchor for architectural design.
Available in a choice of three surface finishes for either indoors or outdoors, the Lexicon range is produced using an advanced water-based process, which combines with digital printing to give great depth and intensity of colour.
