Promotion: Spanish manufacturer Cosentino has launched Nara, a beige-toned porcelain surface designed to celebrate the qualities of natural stone.

Informed by materials like marble and limestone, Nara is defined by its beige shade, which is textured with subtle veining, and was created to bring a sophisticated touch to any space.

"Inspired by the serene beauty of nature, Nara combines the warmth of beige tones with a soft and enveloping design," Cosentino said.

"Its silky finish enhances a sophisticated character, inviting touch with a texture that conveys harmony," it added. "A balanced and versatile option aimed at spaces seeking a touch of sophistication."

Nara is the latest addition to Cosentino's Natural Collection by Dekton, which offers a range of smooth surfaces that seek to reflect natural aesthetics and emulate "the best of nature".

"The Natural Collection by Dekton celebrates the timeless beauty of natural stone, reimagined through the brand's ultra-compact technology," Cosentino said.

"This collection is defined by elegant surfaces where organic veining takes centre stage," it added.

Designed for versatility, Nara surfaces are available in large slabs of up to 320 centimetres by 144 centimetres and five thicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 3 centimetres.

Its compact design is created using sintered particle technology – a manufacturing process that fuses powders into a solid – to produce a dense structure that, according to Cosentino, outperforms standard porcelain.

The result is a durable, low porosity surface resistant to scratches, stains, heat and UV rays, and needing minimal maintenance – rendering it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Its range of applications varies from facades and paving to worktops and sinks.

All colours in the collection are carbon-neutral products, receiving the Carbon Neutral product certification for its entire colour portfolio in 2020, according to the company.

Additionally, the production of some of the collection's colours sees 15 to 85 per cent of recycled materials reused from the product's own manufacturing process.

Cosentino has also explored a new design philosophy named "the new luxury", which sees natural stone returning but with a "chic twist".

This new trend, Cosentino explained, forefronts veined natural stone for its subtle textures and colours that bring a sense of calm to any space.

It also notes luxury as a "timeless and sustainable trend" that values the beauty of nature in decoration, and in turn, forefronts natural stone as the inspiration for the trend.
