Stripes storage system by Jehs + Laub for Schönbuch

Dezeen Showroom: German furniture brand Schönbuch and designers Jehs + Laub have updated their Stripes storage system, adding new finishes, accent colours and friendly shapes.
A modular and fully customisable system, Stripes has been part of Schönbuch's catalogue for almost 20 years and can be used to make sideboards, wall units and other types of storage.

It is recognisable for its painted, handle-free door fronts, with grip recesses between the doors serving as a design feature and giving the pieces their linear, "striped" appearance.
For 2026, Schönbuch and Jehs + Laub have launched a number of updates to the design, including the choice to finish these grip recesses in one of the brand's new wood veneers or accent colours.

There is also now the choice of five oak veneer and three mineral stone options alongside existing painted panels for sideboard tops, and new rounded end units that Jehs + Laub say make the Stripes design "friendlier and smoother".
“Stripes works almost anywhere, whether as storage in entrance areas or bedrooms, or as a sideboard in offices," said Jehs + Laub.
