A foamless sofa, jelly-like stools and a 3D-knitted seat are among the colourful and innovative product launches from this year's edition of Clerkenwell Design Week in London.
The design festival is showcasing plenty of new launches by UK-based brands alongside a smattering of international novelties.
The week is also known for its design installations, which this year include an installation of a house sitting down by artist Alex Chinneck and a wave-like 3D-printed sculpture by designer Arthur Mamou-Mami, designed for Dezeen's Shaping Water Competition.
Read on for seven of the most interesting launches at Clerkenwell Design Week 2025:

Plank Desk System by Very Good & Proper and Forpeople
Furniture manufacturer Very Good & Proper and creative studio Forpeople have teamed up to create the Plank Desk System, which was informed by timber scaffolding.
The elegant pale-wood desk, made from oak, can be adapted with a number of accessories including wooden lamps, a raised shelf and an integrated power box. Curved legs add a sculptural touch to the minimalist design.

Jelly Chair by Jones + Partners for Deadgood
Deadgood got wobbly for Clerkenwell Design Week with the launch of industrial design studio Jones + Partners' Jelly stool – a stackable design that has jelly-like curves and was informed by sweets and children's toys.
The upholstered stool comes in a variety of pale yellow pastel colours to enable different pick-and-mix combinations.

Bruton sofa by Morgan x SmithMatthias
Brands continue to try to solve the mystery of how to create a foamless sofa, with the latest attempt coming from British brand Morgan and design studio SmithMatthias.
The result is the modular Bruton sofa, which is 100 per cent foam-free and instead made from pocket springs and layers of natural materials, including wool, latex, duck feather and coconut fibres.

F300 chair by Gubi
Danish brand Gubi's four-storey showroom in a listed Georgian townhouse received a light makeover this year to present the relaunch of French designer Pierre Paulin's F300 chair.
The futuristic design takes pride of place on the first floor, where a row of F300s in different colours was lined up against the wall, complemented by the brand's marble coffee tables.

Caston Chair by David Irwin
The Caston Chair created by Northern Irish designer David Irwin for furniture brand Origin features a seat made from a 3D-knitted sleeve by technical fabric brand Camira, which was designed to slide over the frame.
The graphic chair frame is made from tubular steel and the fabric from recycled marine plastic. The chair was among a number of pieces, including the Plank Desk System, on show at Clerkenwell's 18th-century St James Church.

Bolon x Tom Dixon
Visitors get two product showcases for the price of one at the Bolon showroom, where the Swedish flooring brand teamed up with British designer Tom Dixon to display products by both brands.
Bolon's new Outdoor Rug collection, made from recycled materials, formed the backdrop for Dixon's Groove furniture – his first-ever outdoor collection. Its pale hues matched the Bolon rugs, making for a harmonious collaboration.

PLC Tube by Pearson Lloyd for Modus
London studio Pearson Lloyd is launching a new version of its PLC Chair with furniture brand Modus. Called PLC Tube, it is an updated take on the 15-year-old chair originally made of wood.
The 2025 edition has kept the original's recognisable seat and back design, but the wooden frame is rendered instead from tubular steel. Users can mix and match the colours of the seat, back and frame to create a playful multi-hued chair.
Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 takes place from 20 to 22 May 2025 at various locations across London, UK. Visit Dezeen Events Guide for more global architecture exhibitions, events and talks in architecture and design.
