This seating system by German designer Christian Werner for furniture company Ligne Roset departs from conventional sofa designs in its moveable weighted cushions that act as individual backrests.
The Prado sofa features broad, bed-like bases populated by upright cushions that can be repositioned atop the seat or on the floor to facilitate a number of seating positions and layouts.
The sofa was recently featured on Dezeen Showroom alongside a series of hand-blown, multicoloured glass cups made in New York, and a reissued bar stool dating from 1960.
