Dezeen Showroom: furniture brand Tylko's system of customisable storage units comes in vivid colours and can be custom-configured using a specialist online tool.
Formerly known as Type02, Tylko's Original Modern Shelving includes bookcases, sideboards, TV stands, chests of drawers, vinyl storage, and shoe racks, all of which can be customised through the use of an online configurator.
With the system, Tylko aims to encourage self-expression and playfulness. The tool allows customers to adjust elements of the storage units in detail, down to its height, width, and the placement of shelves, doors and drawers.
All elements are made from non-toxic, 18-millimetre-thick colour-wrapped particle board, which is durable enough to avoid warping even after years of use, according to the brand.
Original Modern Shelving comes in a choice of 11 colourways, including a bubblegum pink hue named Reisinger Pink, released in collaboration with Argentinian designer Andrés Reisinger.
"Customer-led design has always been our focus at Tylko; staying flexible and open to change is at our core," said Matias Görlitz, product designer at Tylko.
"The Tylko Original Modern is part of a larger effort to make custom furniture intuitive, joyful and truly personal."
