Five products listed by Villeroy & Boch on Dezeen Showroom

Dezeen Showroom: Villeroy & Boch has published several of its new bathroom products on Dezeen Showroom, highlighting creative and sophisticated tapware, basins and vanity units.
Among the products is the Vea tapware, a lever-less design by German industrial designer Christian Haas based on his search for what he describes as "sensual reduction".

Haas looked to the design language of classic perfume bottles for the faceted design, which is available in black or white ceramic.
The form is intended to be sculptural yet calm and capable of blending into different bathroom settings, with one central button in place of a lever reducing visual noise.

A bold basin design comes from Roberto Palomba for Villeroy & Boch subsidiary Ideal Standard, who together have created Tipo-Z, a statuesque pedestal basin with a tapered, aerodynamic-looking silhouette.
Available in black or white, the basin is made of Ideal Standard's durable fireclay material, which allows for the realisation of its precisely defined edges.

Other new products from Villeroy & Boch use a new material developed with German design studio KaschKasch using 100 per cent recycled ceramic that is 3D printed.
Titled Antao 3D, the material is made entirely from the company's own production waste and carries subtle variations created in the process of layered printing.

The material builds on KaschKasch and Villeroy & Boch's Antao collection, which is focused on bringing elements from nature into the bathroom and also celebrates the beauty of imperfection.
Their recent Antao Earth washbasins showcase this approach. They have a dewdrop-shaped form and hand-glazed finish, with resulting variations in colour and texture giving a tactile appeal.

A further contribution from Haas comes in the form of two new product additions to Villeroy & Boch's colour-focused Artis collection: Artis Sense and Artis Frame.
Artis Sense is a surface-mounted washbasin with a delicate expression inspired by textiles, while Artis Frame is a complementary bathroom furniture design bringing the lightweight, modern look of open metal shelving.

Villeroy & Boch is one of Europe's oldest and most respected names in ceramics, with a history stretching back 278 years and involving the merger of two great German ceramics families.
Today, the company focuses on two divergent ceramics categories – bathroom products and tableware – but always with a focus on innovative design and manufacturing.
