Detroit Month of Design
1 to 30 September, USA

Detroit Month of Design celebrates its 16th edition, hosting exhibitions, workshops, talks, open studios, tours and product launches.

The events span a range of disciplines, including graphic, fashion, industrial and product design, as well as architecture, technology, mobility and sustainability.

Frieze Seoul
2 to 5 September, South Korea

The 2026 edition of Frieze Seoul takes place at COEX, presented in partnership with art fair Kiaf Seoul.

The event's fifth iteration showcases work from over 125 global galleries across three categories: Focus, Material Practice and Spotlight.

Alongside the fair, the event features talks, an awards programme, film screenings and live performances.

Habitare
2 to 6 September, Finland

Habitare is an annual design fair that takes place during Helsinki Design Week, spotlighting furniture, lighting and accessories.

This year, the fair and talks series explores the theme Plot Twists, championing unexpected, unconventional and experimental design choices.

The fair takes place at Messukeskus Helsinki.

Maison&Objet September
10 to 14 September, France

Trade show Maison&Objet hosts its second event of the year during the 2026 iteration of Paris Design Week, located at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.

The showcase presents products across six categories: Decor and Design, Fine Craft, Fragrance and Wellness, Fashion and Accessories, Gift and Play, Maison&Objet in the City, and Cook and Share.

Lake Como Design Festival
12 to 20 September, Italy

Border is the theme for the latest edition of Lake Como Design Festival, addressing how creative, geographical and social boundaries impact design.

The nine-day festival enters its eighth edition, with exhibitions, installations, talks and pop-up shops taking place at venues such as Villa del Grumello and Villa Saporiti.

12 to 20 September, UK

2026 marks the 24th iteration of London's annual design festival, which launches a range of events across 11 participating districts.

The programme includes fairs, exhibitions, installations, parties, talks, workshops, tours and open showrooms and studios.

Dezeen has launched the 2026 edition of its guide to the festival, accompanied by an interactive map.

Downtown Design Riyadh
15 to 18 September, Saudi Arabia

Design fair Downtown Design hosts its second edition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, usually located in Dubai during its design festival.

Organised by the Architecture and Design Commission of the Ministry of Culture, the four-day event features projects by regional and global designers.

Tallinn Design Festival
28 September to 4 October, Estonia

Almost 100 events are taking place in Tallinn during its 21st design festival, each addressing the theme Future of Product Design, which focuses on sustainable production and inclusive pieces.

Programme highlights include the Estonian Design Awards (BRUNO) exhibition and gala, the International Design Conference and the Design Street market.
