Eight architecture and design events in November from Dezeen Events Guide
                                
Dubai Design Week, Dezeen Awards 2025 party and Designart Tokyo are among the key architecture, design and art events featured in Dezeen Events Guide this November.
Other events taking place during the month include Design Mumbai, BDNY, Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition, World Architecture Festival and the 15th Shanghai Biennale: Does the flower hear the bee?.

Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition
4 October to 30 November, Japan
21 architecture and art groups are taking part in the inaugural edition of Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition, including Kazuyo Sejima, Tadao Ando, Kenzo Tange and Junya Ishigami.
Displayed are eight exhibitions in Onomichi City and Fukuyama City, with the works paying homage to Japanese architects, including Pritzker Architecture Prize winners and designers of historic structures.

Designart Tokyo
31 October to 9 November, Japan
Designart Tokyo has appointed Brave – The Pursuit of Instinctive Beauty as the theme for its 2025 edition, celebrating original design that avoids formulaic patterns.
The event runs for 10 days, hosting exhibitions and parties across Tokyo, including the group exhibition Designart Gallery, with the space designed by Hong Kong-based architecture and design studio Collective.

Dubai Design Week
4 to 9 November, UAE
The latest iteration of Dubai Design Week hosts exhibitions, installations, fairs, conferences and talks, workshops and pop-up shops, celebrating regional and international design
Programme highlights include the Downtown Design fair, located at the d3 Waterfront Terrace from 5 to 9 November, and the fair's conference the Forum, this year welcoming designers Tom Dixon and Lee Broom as speakers.

15th Shanghai Biennale: Does the flower hear the bee?
8 November to 31 March, China
Writer and curator Kitty Scott was appointed the curator of the 15th edition of the Shanghai Biennale, which explores the question: Does the flower hear the bee?
The showcase, which takes place at the Power Station of Art, addresses communication and intelligence within design, and how they can connect the audience, exhibition and environment.

BDNY
9 to 10 November, USA
Boutique Design New York (BDNY) returns to the Javits Centre, welcoming 700 exhibitors across the textiles, furniture, lighting and art sectors.
Alongside the exhibition, the two-day trade show hosts an awards ceremony, talk series and networking opportunities, including the Women Leaders Breakfast.

World Architecture Festival
12 to 14 November, USA
Miami is the host city of this year's World Architecture Festival, which welcomes international architects for a programme of awards, talks, exhibitions, tours and parties.
Located at the Miami Beach Convention Centre for three days, over 70 talks and seminars are taking place during the event, with speakers from practices Foster + Partners, HKS and BIG.

Dezeen Awards 2025 party
25 November, UK
Dezeen Awards hosts its annual party, spotlighting architecture, design and interior projects across 49 categories, including sustainability projects and the 2025 Bentley Lighthouse Award.
The evening includes food, drinks and entertainment led by former Scissor Sisters frontwoman, Ana Matronic.
The awards ceremony takes place at Exhibition White City in London.

Design Mumbai
26 to 29 November, India
The second edition of Design Mumbai takes place in November, inviting architecture and design professionals to Jio World Garden.
More than 80 brands are partaking in the trade show's exhibition, installations and talks, including American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), lighting brand Baccarat and furniture brand Blå Station.
