Dezeen School Shows launches Designing the Future

To complement our popular Dezeen School Shows section, we've interviewed leading educators at international universities about the challenges institutions currently face and how creative education is evolving.

Dezeen School Shows: Designing the Future details conversations with educators who give insight into fresh approaches, themes and challenges within architecture and design education.

These include integrating AI into their curriculum and the prevalence of socio-political themes such as sustainability, healthcare and the housing crisis.

Publishing over the next six months, the series will also examine how teaching professionals are adapting new education models in light of these priorities to ensure students are equipped with the skillsets to respond to current challenges.

Publishing later this week, Dezeen spoke to the head of environment at the University of New South Wales, Phillip Oldfield, about how the Australian university is prioritising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and knowledge.

Additional universities and institutions that are taking part include Istituto Europeo di Design, Central Saint Martins and IE University.
