Dezeen Awards 2025 longlists reveal 192 of the year’s best designs

Dezeen has revealed the 192 projects longlisted for this year's Dezeen Awards design categories, including designs by Foster + Partners, Kvadrat and Pentagram.

Amongst the longlisted designs this year is a billowing, pillowy modular seating system by Adam Goodrum for Nau, a pendant lamp made from a combination of wool and bioplastic by Studio Truly Truly for Rakumba and a light informed by a "celestial body in motion" made from post-consumer aluminium by Sabine Marcelis for Hydro.

Other longlisted projects include a 3D-knitted foam-free modular couch by Paul Crofts for Isomi and an underground shop topped with a dome by Foster + Partners for Apple.

All Dezeen Awards 2025 longlists revealed this week

Dezeen Awards 2025, in partnership with Bentley, will reveal all longlisted projects this week. The architecture and interiors longlists were announced earlier this week and the sustainability longlist will be revealed tomorrow.

"Bentley is proud to continue championing design excellence through our partnership with the Dezeen Awards," said Ben Saltmer, head of lifestyle design at Bentley.

"The breadth of innovation is fantastic," he continued. "The list is brimming with intelligent, impactful designs that demonstrate a deep appreciation for craftsmanship."

"It's been encouraging to see designers recognising the importance their work has on improving wellbeing and environmental impact", he said.

The longlisted projects were selected from over 4,300 entries from 89 countries across six continents for the eighth edition of our awards programmes, which continues to celebrate the individuals and studios producing the most outstanding architecture, interiors and design projects from around the globe.

The next stage of Dezeen Awards 2025 will see all longlisted projects assessed by our prestigious panel of international judges,  including Sebastian Herkner, Sofia Lagerkvist and Tokujin Yoshioka.

Our 60 judges will determine the projects that feature on the shortlists, which will be announced in October. A further round of judging by our master jury will determine the winners of the design project categories, Bentley Lighthouse Award, as well as the overall design project of the year.
