Besides new builds, the last two weeks also saw the Eames House and studio reopen following the Los Angeles wildfires, as well as the sensitive renovation of a mid-century house in Aspen, Colorado.

Looking to the future, plans were unveiled this week for a supertall skyscraper in San Francisco, which would be the West Coast's tallest building if completed.

In design news, New York-based Mexican designer Milú Brunell has designed a soil-powered lamp and Ready To Hang designer Jeffrey Renz launched his brand's first collection of playfully shaped mirrors, displayed in Frank Lloyd Wright's Toyhill house in Usonia, New York.
