Cosmic stool by Mati Sipiora

Polish designer Mati Sipiora created a contrast between stainless steel and the plump look of cushions in this stool.

Named Cosmic, the stool has a futuristic and statuesque aesthetic bolstered by its shiny metal or block colour finishes.

The stool was recently featured on Dezeen Showroom alongside a reissuing of an iconic chair originally released in 1938 and a side table that can be deconstructed and its components used as a vase and mirror.

BKF chair by Isist Atelier

BKF chair by Isist Atelier

The iconic 1938 BKF chair, which comprises a leather or canvas seat tucked onto a metal base, continues to be manufactured by Isist Atelier.

The chair was originally created by architects Antoni Bonet, Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy, and is nicknamed the butterfly chair thanks to its symmetrical seat.
