Competition: win a Wake sleep light by Tala and Thomas Heatherwick

For our latest competition, lighting brand Tala is offering Dezeen readers the chance to win one of its newly released Wake sleep lamps, created by designer Thomas Heatherwick.
Two lucky readers will win a Wake sleep lamp designed by Heatherwick to fulfil both aesthetic and wellbeing-related needs.
The Wake sleep light acts as a night light, a gentle alarm and a white noise machine combined into one compact object.
It aims to help people sleep better by prompting them to tune into the natural rhythms of sleeping and waking.
The product features a mouth-blown rippled glass bulb that contains an LED filament. It casts a warm-toned glow that can be brightened or dimmed by the light's ceramic rotating base, which is hand-glazed in a single colour called Pebble White.
Wake helps people regulate their internal clock – and ultimately sleep better – by mimicking the natural light of a sunrise to rouse the user at their desired time.
The bulb is capable of rising to a bright white light of 3,100 Kelvin, which helps suppress production of the sleep hormone melatonin.
In the evening, the lamp dwindles to a warm amber light reminiscent of a sunset, filtering out blue light to encourage better sleep.
"In the realm of sleep, the digital revolution has been wreaking havoc," said Heatherwick. "Instead of your bedroom being a calm, intimate place for recuperation, your entire world of messaging, news and entertainment is right next to you, beckoning for your attention."
"Wake is our attempt to re-establish the sacredness of sleep and bring back analogue calm into the digital age," added the designer.
"It is an alternative form of bedside light and alarm, made from natural materials, that uses light, touch, and sound to rid ourselves of yet more plasticky tech devices, and instead conjure up nature to help restore sleep to its rightful place in our lives."
Two lucky Dezeen readers who enter the competition will win a Wake sleep lamp.
The first prize winner will receive the ultimate bedroom package: a pair of Wake lights, a Wake diffuser and a branded tote bag, while the second prize winner will receive a solo Wake Light.
