Technology brand Apple is collaborating with Design Miami on an exhibition highlighting the work of four emerging designers as part of the fair's Paris edition, which opens next week.

Curated by AGO Projects co-founder Rodman Primack, the exhibition will showcase the work of four as-yet-unnamed designers selected by a jury including Apple's VP of human interface design Alan Dye and VP of industrial design Molly Anderson.

"Designers of Tomorrow is about showcasing creativity amongst an emerging cohort of international designers," Primack told Dezeen.

"The nascent program allows Design Miami, together with Apple, to shine a light on fresh perspectives in design," he continued. "The activation gives visibility to designers that are early in their practices and that utilise technology available to everyone to advance their ideas and designs."

The selection jury aimed to give four emerging designers, who each use iPads in their process, the opportunity to present their work at Design Miami.Paris.

Along with Apple's Dye and Anderson, the creatives were chosen by designers Faye Toogood, Mathieu LehanneurSamuel Ross, curator Aric Chen, archivist Hervé Lemoine, Ateliers de Paris founder Lyne Cohen-Solal and Design Miami CEO Jen Roberts, as well as designer Sabine Marcelis, who recently created a trio of installations at Apple Park.

"Design Miami initiated submissions through their extensive network and from there a jury of established designers, curators, contributors and collectors together selected their favourite four practices," explained Primack.

"I loved seeing the work of many studios that I was previously unaware of; alongside some of my favourite 'young' talents," he continued.

"In addition to innovative approaches to materiality and know-how, they each demonstrated the power of iPad as a transformative tool in their unique creative workflows. The whole process was eye-opening and honestly, a real pleasure."

The four designers selected by Apple will be revealed next week when the exhibition at Design Miami.Paris opens to the public, although a teaser image shared by the brand gave some hints to the designers' identities.

Primack hopes that people going to the exhibition will go on to follow the careers of these up-and-coming designers.

"I hope people walk away from the exhibition inspired by the work presented and with a desire to follow these highlighted designers as they continue to build their careers and contribute to the evolving aesthetics defining our lives," said Primack.

"I have always felt that platforms like Design Miami are powerful agents of connection – personal, physical, ideological," he continued. "By bringing multiple pan regional voices together at one moment at the fair, and then more precisely, the exhibition, it's able to give a snapshot of what is happening right now."

Design Miami.Paris 2025 takes place from 21 to 26 October 2025 at L'hôtel de Maisons, 51 Rue de l’Université, 75007 Paris, France. See Dezeen Events Guide for more design events and exhibitions around the world.
