"A lot of effort for dubious effect" says reader in this week's Dezeen Debate

Named Glass Brick House, the 98-metre, three-storey home occupies a small gap on a terraced street and was designed to let the natural light in.

Dezeen readers were split, with some praising the "nice bright interior" and its ability to be "sympathetic to its surroundings, but modern and comfortable". However, others thought it represented "a lot of effort for dubious effect".

Other stories in this week's newsletter that sparked debate included Meta's gesture-sensing wristband prototype, the renovation of an 18th-century Spanish home and colour-coded soaps designed to teach vulnerable users about consent.
