This week on Dezeen, we showcased proposals for a supertall skyscraper by BKK Architects and Cottee Parker, which could become Australia's tallest building.

Set to be built on the Gold Coast, the 101-storey residential tower would rise to almost 400 metres high. Alongside it, a 60-storey commercial tower is planned.

If built, the skyscraper would surpass the 351-metre-high Q1 Tower to become Australia's tallest building.

In other design news, the "world's thinnest foldable smartphone" was unveiled by Chinese electronics company Honor.

The 8.8-millimetre-thick Magic V5, which is set to launch in Europe in August, is 0.1 millimetre thinner than competitor Oppo's Find N5.

In architecture news, RIBA announced the 20 winners of its 2025 National Awards.

From the buildings, which include the renovated Elizabeth Tower (pictured), a Scottish prison and a fashion university, six will be chosen to form the Stirling Prize shortlist, which will be announced on 4 September.
