Dezeen Showroom: Tarkett-owned carpet brand Desso has released a range of subtly striped carpet tiles that aim to create soft transitions between zones in open plan interiors.
Tactile Craft carpet tiles come in three different designs with gentle patterning inspired by natural textures.
The designs feature different densities of patterning, with Tactile Craft 2 sitting in between the gentle Tactile Craft 1 and the darker Tactile Craft 3, allowing the three designs to be used in combination to create subtle transitions from one area to another.
"Tactile Craft perfectly complements other interior elements," said Tarkett. "The collection adds warmth and comfort to smaller meeting rooms while helping bring a refined touch to large, open-plan hybrid spaces."
As part of the company's commitment to circularity, the tiles are made from mostly recycled or bio-based content and are fully recyclable by Tarkett.
The tiles are comprised of Econyl regenerated nylon yarn with a backing of Desso's sustainability-focused EcoBase, which is made of polyolefin polymer with additions including upcycled calcium carbonate and bio-based pine resin, which replaces a previously petroleum-based ingredient.
