Seven interiors where billiard tables are available on cue
Colourful kitchen with billiard table in the middle

From bars and hotels to private homes, this lookbook explores interiors where billiard tables are on hand for spontaneous games.

Billiard tables – comprising a cloth-covered surface surrounded by cushioned sides that are punctuated with netted pockets – are a type of table that cue sports can be played on, such as pool and snooker.

While they are traditionally covered in dark green cloth, to recall the appearance of grass lawns, contemporary designs feature differently-coloured cloth, from blues and reds to neutrals.

Brightly coloured balls make the tables instantly recognisable, standing out against the background cloth when contained in a triangular rack or strewn around the table mid-play.

The following interiors all feature billiard tables, from traditional games rooms in hospitality venues to unconventional placements in residential kitchens and living rooms.

This is the latest in our lookbooks series, which provides visual inspiration from Dezeen's archive. For more inspiration, see previous lookbooks featuring wooden staircases, picture windows and cottage living rooms.
