Auckland Design Week
3 to 9 March, New Zealand

Auckland Design Week hosts its second edition in 2025. Following the theme Chance + Change, it encourages visitors to embrace curiosity and explore how design can adapt to future challenges.

The seven-day festival embraces modern technologies – artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), 3D printing and robotics – through exhibitions, workshops and talks.

In this year's programme, Auckland Design Week hosts the Design Conference on 6 March at 25 Normanby Road, with more than 20 speakers taking part in the talks.

Matter and Shape
7 to 10 March, France

The Tuileries Gardens in Paris is the location of design fair Matter and Shape, which returns for its second edition.

Across four days the fair showcases contemporary designs from over 60 creatives, and welcomes interior designers, architects, collectors, decorators and journalists.

SXSW
7 to 15 March, USA

Culture and technology festival South by South West (SXSW) explores technology, film and music through talks, exhibitions, product launches and screenings.

The festival, which takes place across 13 days in Austin, Texas, offers a talks programme of over 450 discussions, keynotes, panels, seminars and workshops.

DW! Sao Paulo Design Week
10 to 16 March, Brazil

Brazil's largest design festival DW! Sao Paulo Design Week celebrates its 14th edition with 115 participating design, architecture and interiors brands.

Last year's festival took place across eight districts, with exhibitions, tours, workshops and talks taking place in museums, shops and universities.

Collectible
13 to 16 March, Belgium

Located at Brussels' Vanderborght Building, design fair Collectible spotlights objects and furniture selected by a committee of designers, journalists and architects.

The eighth edition presents designs across seven categories: Main, Dialogue, New Garde, Bespoke, Architect, Curated and Outdoor.

For the second year in a row, the fair also hosts a second event in New York City.

China International Furniture Fair Guangzhou
18 to 31 March, China

The 55th edition of the China International Furniture Fair takes place in Guangzhou in March, with the fair alternating locations with Shanghai.

The fair welcomes more than 4,700 exhibitions over two weeks, including indoor and outdoor furniture, textiles and office equipment brands.

The event takes place at the the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex.

Perth Design Week
14 to 21 March, Australia

Perth Design Week hosts its third edition in 2025, with the programme including exhibitions, installations, screenings, workshops talks and tours.

Founded by architect Sandy Anghie and designer David Smith, this year's edition expects to host 75 events across eight days, including an installation by Peter Farmer Designs, an exhibition of Italian architect Mario Cucinella's work and an exhibition by architects Joel Benichou and Craig Nener.
