Eight Years of Dedication to Preserving a Chapter of History at Peking University's Yanyuan Campus — In 2015, the architects visited the Educational Technology Building along Wusi Road at Peking University's Yanyuan Campus and learned that the building was facing demolition due to a new campus planning proposal. Through further research, the team discovered that completed in 1988, the Educational Technology Building had once been one of the most advanced teaching facilities in Yanyuan. It housed the largest auditorium on campus and played an important role in teaching, academic exchange, and public campus activities. The building witnessed the development of Peking University's campus after China's Reform and Opening-up, while carrying the collective memories of generations of faculty and students. Among the teaching buildings constructed over the nearly forty-year period from the 1960s to the 1990s, it remains the only one preserved in the core area of the campus.
