Lanes acoustic system by Autex Acoustics

Dezeen Showroom: consisting of repeating battens, this acoustic system by Autex Acoustics provides a simple way to both dampen sound and create a dimensional aesthetic in interiors.

The Lanes acoustic system offers three linear styles: Peak, Plane and Sawtooth. Peak creates a three-dimensional effect with dynamic light and shadow, while Plane and Sawtooth appear flatter and more subtle.

All three styles are made of Autex Acoustics' Cube felt panels and feature an air gap behind each batten to enhance low-frequency sound absorption.

Designed to reduce reverberation and background chatter in building interiors, the Lanes system is modular, scalable and available in a range of colours.

The panels are made of 100 per cent compressed polyester fibre, and Autex Acoustics has focused on sustainability with the product, which it says is carbon neutral and made with a minimum of 60 per cent recycled content.

There is also no adhesive required for the installation, and the product is low in VOCs and produced using a zero-waste manufacturing approach.
