First Sway carpet by Modulyss

Dezeen Showroom: dynamic patterning meets elegant muted colour in the First Sway line of carpet tiles and broadloom, created by Belgian flooring company Modulyss.

Part of the Modulyss' First collection centred on understated elegance, the Sway design features faintly intersecting lines and lightly brushed textures, giving a softly vintage look.

"First Sway brings movement and variation to the floor through a fluid criss-cross pattern and rich texture," said Modulyss. "Its dynamic character is balanced by a soft, refined colour palette, creating an ever-changing visual effect that feels lively yet controlled."

First Sway is available as either a loop pile carpet tile or broadloom, allowing designers to use the same style for both high-traffic areas and premium spaces requiring a seamless finish.

The design is available in a choice of 18 different colours, centring on earthy neutrals and deep but desaturated hues that help give spaces a sense of sophistication.

The broader First collection includes two other subtle patterns as well as three colour-led designs, all made for easy mix-and-matching.
