Eba equips kitchens with floor-level storage thanks to Santos' plinth drawer

Promotion: across many of its kitchen designs, design studio Eba spotlights the potential of Santos's plinth drawer unit, which "makes the most of every centimetre" of space.
Eba, a high-end furniture and interiors brand, has equipped many of its kitchen projects with the Santos plinth drawer unit, an innovative solution that turns the space beneath the worktop into additional accessible storage.

The unit's defining feature is that its storage capacity extends right down to floor level, incorporating the often-wasted space in the sizeable bases of most typical kitchen units.
In most cases, this recedes slightly to allow users to stand flush to the unit. Santos' unit avoids this with a slight inward tilt at the front, which also disguises the extra drawer.

"With a conventional kitchen plinth, a minimum of around six to eight centimetres of space is normally left unused," explained Eba.
"The design of the Santos plinth drawer unit means that only around two centimetres of space is lost – this allows the area beneath the worktop to be used for storage, adding up to four additional tiers of accessible storage."

According to the brand, the unit is useful across kitchens of all scales, as it can be used beneath wall units, islands and even under sinks.
It is also particularly handy in compact spaces where every inch of space counts.

This versatility is exemplified in kitchen interior projects by Eba, which distributes Santos kitchens through its showrooms.
Predominantly designing and fitting kitchens in Parisian properties, where the brand's first showroom is based, Eba has completed projects in townhouses, apartments and lofts.

Santos' plinth drawer unit, like the rest of its catalogue, has a sleek, modern aesthetic that translates smoothly into both new builds and historic renovations.
The unit's tapering, angular fronts meet flooring seamlessly, whether it is poured concrete or intricately laid wooden parquet.

While their capacity is uniform, the units come in a selection of colourways to suit a range of interior schemes, from soft grey and off-white to dramatic black and natural wood effects.
Beyond kitchens, Eba also works holistically across residential interiors, creating consistently furnished living spaces.

Eba was created by the designer behind Spanish kitchen manufacturer Santos in 2019. It offers Santos kitchens alongside a curated catalogue of furniture and interior pieces from other leading brands.
The brand has since expanded its presence, with its London showroom in Marylebone, which opened in 2024.
