For our latest competition, Swiss watch brand Cauny is offering Dezeen readers the chance to win one of its watches designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando.

By entering our latest competition, two lucky readers will win The Cauny Ando watch created by the Japanese designer.

Ando's slim and flexible watch includes a domed sapphire crystal top to minimise distortion when viewing its dial from different angles. It also features an Italian leather strap and comes in a sleek steel case.

The watch is available in two colours: a playful apple green or a brushed steel informed by the materiality of concrete.

Its curvaceous design aims to be a symbol of hope and bring a "youthful energy" to the wearer.

"This watch reflects the spirit of the green apple – unripe, a little sour, yet full of promise," said Ando of his watch. "It honours those who keep moving forward, not because they've arrived, but because they still believe in the light ahead."

"A reminder that youth is not a time, but a movement of the heart."

Both watch colours come in two sizes: 31.5 and 37.5 millimetres, which allows people with wrists of all sizes to wear them.

Two winners will be able to choose between both sizes and colours.

The Cauny Ando is the fourth watch in Cauny's The Architects of Time Series – a collection of watches designed by famous international architects.

The first three watches in the series were created by architects Álvaro Siza, Rafael Moneo and Eduardo Souto de Moura.

"In watches, as in buildings, Ando finds the purity of youthful energy to shape space and, with it, our perception of time," said Cauny of its fourth designer in the series.

Cauny was founded in Switzerland in 1927 and is headquartered in Portugal. It launched The Architects of Time Series in 2022.

The competition is open until 30 July.
