Dezeen Showroom: British brand Roger Oates Design has released a series of rugs made from 100 per cent wool that are decorated with landscape-informed patterns.
Among the patterns in the Vista rug collection are the colourful Atlas, minimalistic Dune, mottled Terrain and striped Tide.
"The design team have referenced shapes and patterns occurring in nature with evocative influences of dappled light, sandy beaches, and lakes as well as the contoured and undulating landscape," said Roger Oates Design.
"A new single-ply yarn has been used to give a silky appearance to the rugs, with 90 new colours introduced using 100 per cent British wool that is traceable back to the farms where the sheep are raised."
They are made using a combination of advanced tufting technology and traditional hand-finishing methods.
Rugs in the collection can be created in a range of colours, sizes and shapes, with each handmade in the studio's UK-based workshop. They are durable enough for use in residential as well as commercial interiors.
