Prizes: 18 projects from all six categories will be showcased in the heart of Vienna, Austria. A curated selection – shortlist of 36 and 18 winning projects – will be featured in a special issue publication by SOCB
Competition overview
School of Collectively Building (SOCB) invites visionary talent from across the globe to shape the futures of sustainable, thriving and resilient cities, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Do you have a revolutionary project, a research breakthrough or an innovative, sustainable idea – whether realised or conceptual?
This is your chance to showcase your work at an exclusive exhibition in the heart of Vienna, Austria. Selected projects will gain global recognition, with opportunities to be published in an exclusive edition.
Eligibility and judging criteria
The competition is open to students, professionals and change makers from all disciplines that are passionate about sustainable research and ideas.
A distinguished jury, comprising experts from diverse fields and backgrounds, will evaluate each project. The panel will select six shortlisted projects and three winning entries across each category, celebrating groundbreaking creativity and sustainable impact.
How to enter
Submissions must be sent via email to research.socb@gmail.com on or before the submission deadline:
– Once registered participants will receive a registration number
– Submissions must be submitted as an A2 sheet portrait in PDF format, with the registration number in the top right corner
– Proposals should include text and images detailing the idea
– Participants should not include names or company names
– There are six project categories to enter: product, industrial and innovative materials; engineering technology and construction; architecture and interior design; heritage documentation; conservation and restoration; landscape and environmental preservation; and urbanism planning and transportation
The competition is open to all.
Submission deadlines
All participants must register and submit entries by 15 April 2025.
Results are announced on 30 April 2025 with exhibition and publication to follow from 28 to 30 July 2025.
